Where the spiritually thirsty draw water from the well of life, Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values
Truth: Committed to the Truth
In a world where Truth is constantly being brought into question, we, at "The Well", hold as our foundational belief that Jesus is truth. We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and is the only source and authority for understating the Truth. We therefore are committed together to seek to live by its teachings and be guided by its truth both individually and corporately. We ensure that it permeates every ministry we undertake because we want to know and understand its meaning in our lives.

2 Cor. 3:17; John 14:6; John 18:36-38

Lost People Matter to God
Without question this is the most important reason that we exist. Understanding that the Church has been entrusted with the knowledge of the truth we must act on that knowledge in a responsible way. Jesus had only one mission while he was on earth. He stated that he came to "Seek and save the lost." The Church is charged to follow that example as Jesus asked us to before he ascended to be with the father.

For this reason "The Well" is constantly looking outward for ways to serve the community at large in order to reach Non-Christians and help them to find the truth we have found in Jesus. This is woven into everything we do. When faced with a decision to serve the needs of the inside or to reach out to the lost, we will remain committed to reaching the lost. This will govern how we prioritize ourselves for ministry.

Luke 19:10; Matt 28:18-20

Committed to a Process of Growth
The lack of education in the modern church has led to a radical departure from a common understanding of the basic tenets of the Christian faith. The Well is committed to assisting the believer toward spiritual maturity through the discovery of a process of growth. The bible teaches us that the early Christians were devoted to learning about Jesus and what he meant to their lives. They understood that the Christian life is not a destination but a journey. "The Well" is committed to equipping the life journeyer to walk with increasing understating of his relationship with God, to learn to apply that knowledge along the way and use it to move them ahead in spiritual maturity.

"The Well" can act as a university environment to help the Christian gain the tools that one needs to move forward by providing opportunities for the believer to gather these tools to help along the way. We will constantly look forward and adjust our ministries to meet the needs of the people of God as they strive to move closer in their relationship to Him.
Understating that the scriptures are the main tool for this journey, we are committed to helping people understand and use them in their daily life at work, home, and play.

Acts 2:42-43; Matt 7:20

Dynamic Worship Gatherings
The Worship gathering is the corporate expression of our living relationship with God. Much attention is given in scriptures to the subject of how God's people are to approach him and address him corporately. Often the ceremony and spectacle is an enormous undertaking for the people of God. Consideration is given to all kinds of worship expression including; song, dance, drama, dress, attitude, exposition of the word, sacrifice, giving of resources, labor, posture, and even the detailed descriptions of the facilities and instruments used to carry out the act.

The proper worship environment is given much attention. This serves to demonstrate the importance that should be given to the corporate gathering of the believer. It serves to remind one of the truth God's sovereignty, to strengthen the believers resolve to walk in Christ, to facilitate an environment where the power of God can be demonstrated publicly and as a witness to a watching world. Though God's presence now resides in his people rather than in a building made of man, it is imperative that the people of God have a corporate experience with God regularly to support their private practice.

It is the commitment of The Well to provide a proper environment on a regular basis whereby its family can gather and experience the presence of God together through worship and celebration. The way in which we worship God will encompass a commitment to constantly consider all elements necessary to create an environment where people are reminded of the truth, find strength, see God move and where the world will be drawn to Him because of our witness. We will strive to commit the energy and resources needed to carry out this task in a way that honors God and invites His move among us.

Acts 2:43; Hebrews 10:23-25; 2 Chronicles 5:11-14

Authentic Community
It is through Authentic Community that people are best equipped for their journey with Christ. People mature best in smaller environments where they can feel safe to be honest with one other and thereby challenge each other to mature. Finding a safe place is an uncommon reality in society and today's church often falls victim to societal pressures, therefore, hurting its reputation as a sanctuary for the hurting.

The Well is committed to doing whatever it takes to create environments where people can find a safety to be real with one another and challenge one another to a deeper commitment to follow Christ.

This is so important that it will be a membership requirement for people to be in a community small group.

Hebrews 10:23-25

Active in Community
The word of God makes it clear that talk is cheap. Those who say that they care, but fail to follow through with action fail to represent the ministry of Jesus Christ. We live in a world today where, more than ever, the world needs to see that the church backs up its words with actions. People matter to God. And because people matter to God it is the responsibility of the church to demonstrate His compassion to the world.

The Well is committed to meeting the needs of the people God entrusts to her care. We value people because God values people and it is important to not only say that but to exemplify that in our day to day lives. We are, therefore, committed to finding and developing ways to better reach and touch the lives of those God entrusts to us.

2 John 1:6; I John 3:18-20

Commitment to a balanced environment
It is important to understand that an environment that is out of balance is not going to thrive. While there are many good individual ministries and programs in today's churches, so many are not paying attention to the matter of balance. The Church is a living organism. In order for a living being to thrive and grow it must have a balanced set of systems functioning together for the common good of whole. If the systems are not in balance then the organism will grow dysfunctional and lopsided. A system that is overemphasized will actually become a hindrance to growth rather than a help. A church that is functioning well is committed to a balance in Evangelism, Discipleship, Worship, Fellowship and Ministry.

Acts 2:42

Commitment to building Biblical Families
As people who are seeking to love the Lord with all our hearts soul, and strength then we have also the calling to impress them upon our children in our homes. We want to be a witness to the grace of God not only in the public arena but also in our homes. We live in a society where the family seems to be falling apart more and more each day. The statistics of broken homes in America are staggering and break the heart of God. The Church has a responsibility to make it a priority to help believers develop home environments that are conducive to the healthy development of biblical relationships.

It is our commitment to model and instruct families in biblical patterns for living. We need to remember that we are not living for this generation alone but to pass onto those who follow after us the heritage of the grace we enjoy in Christ.

Duet. 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4; Titus 1:6

Devotion to Prayer
Prayer: This one is listed last but is not least. Instead it is listed as the foundation on which the rest stands. We exist to have a relationship with a loving father who gave his own Son that we might enjoy his favor rather that his wrath. It is essential that we teach the believer, that in order to live life flowing with the living water of Jesus, that believer must learn to and be active in communicating with Him. It is the desire of the Well to teach every believer how to pray and be filled with the life that Jesus offers them. It is the example he set and the pattern we follow.

Matthew 6:6; 14:23; Eph 6:18; I Thess. 5:17
